设<math>X</math>为一个[[拓扑向量空间]]，<math>I</math>为一个[[指标集]]，满足对任意<math>i \in I</math>，<math>x_i \in X</math>。

级数<math>\textstyle \sum_{i \in I} x_i</math>被称为'''无条件收敛'''到<math>x \in X</math>的，如果：
* 指标集<math>I_0 :=\{i\in I: x_i\ne 0\}</math>是[[可数集]]；
* 任意<math>I_0 :=\{i\in I: x_i\ne 0\}</math>的[[排列]]满足下列关系：<math>\sum_{i=1}^\infty x_i = x</math>.

== 与绝对收敛的关系 ==

无条件收敛是定义在装备了[[距离]]的[[赋范向量空间]]中定义的。在赋范向量空间中还有另外一类收敛，称为[[绝对收敛]]。绝对收敛的定义是：一个级数<math> \sum_{n=1}^\infty x_n</math>绝对收敛，当且仅当[[实数]]列：

收敛。

对于通常的实数级数或复数级数，无条件收敛和绝对收敛是等价的。在一般的有限维的[[巴拿赫空间]]中，两者也是等价的概念。而对于更一般的情况，绝对收敛能够推出无条件收敛，但反之无条件收敛并不能推出绝对收敛。
