He is noted for inventing an inovative armillary sphere, the formulation of the ? Calendar and the correction of the distribution of the 24 solar terms based on solar movements.In 724 AD Yi Xing was put in charge of a terrestial-astromomical survey which successfully meassured the length of a protion of the meridian. |
